Abstract
Od antičkih vremena do danas, ljudi grade ceste kako bi povezali željena mjesta. Gradnjom cesta i njihovim održavanjem, cestogradnja želi ispuniti uvjete sigurnije i ugodnije vožnje. Takvi uvjeti se mogu ostvariti poboljšanjem karakteristika voznih površina kolnika. Parametri kojima se utvrđuje stupanj poboljšanja vozne površine kolnika su buka, hvatljivost, tekstura, oštećenje i ravnost vozne površine. Metode s kojima postižemo poboljšanja mogu se podijeliti na ohrapljivanje, površinske obrade, asfaltne presvlake i na zamjenu habajućeg sloja kolnika. Građevinska praksa pokazala je kako primjenom takvih metoda, ceste ostvaruju bolje karakteristike. Međutim, svaka metoda ima svoje pozitivne i negativne strane, što od inženjera zahtjeva više pažnje za precizan odabir.
Abstract (english)
From the ancient times to nowadays, people build roads in order to connect places. By building and maintaining road infrastructure, road builders tend to overcome the tenancy to achieve safer and more comfortable ride. A way to achieve the given goal is to improve the characteristics of road pavement. The parameters that asses the degree of road improvement are noise, grip, texture, damage and the flatness of the road surface. Methods with which one can enhance the road characteristics can be divided in three main parts, roughening, asphalt laying and the replacement of the upper road layer. Construction practice showed that by applying such methods, road do obtain better qualities. However, every method has its good and bad side. Hence, the job is to the engineer to asses which method to use.
