Abstract
Kako bi se sačuvao okoliš i prirodna bogatstva, uvodi se koncept održivog razvoja. To otvara nove mogućnosti primjene alternativnih materijala u građevinarstvu. Ograničavanjem količina i vrsta otpada koje se odlažu, materijali koji se se prethodno smatrali otpadom sada nalaze primjenu u građevinarstvu. Republika Hrvatska, kao članica Europske Unije, je uvela nove zakone i uredila gospodarenje otpadom kako bi olakšala primjenu otpadnih materijala u korisne svrhe. Prihvaćanjem novih i nadopunjavanjem starih normi olakšava se primjena alternativnih materijala u građevinarstvu te daje mogućnost tvrtkama da traže bolja i financijski isplativija rješenja. Uspješni primjeri primjene alternativnih materijala mogu potaknuti druge tvrtke da se odluče za uporabu tih materijala.
Abstract (english)
In order to preserve the environment and natural resources, the concept of sustainable development is introduced. This opens up new possibilities for using alternative materials in construction. By limiting the quantity and type of waste that is being disposed of, materials that were previously considered waste are now being applied in construction. The Republic of Croatia, as a member of the European Union, has introduced new laws and regulations for waste management to facilitate the use of waste materials for useful purposes. Accepting new and complementing old standards facilitates the use of alternative materials in construction and enables companies to look for better and more cost-effective solutions. Successful examples of the use of alternative materials can encourage other companies to opt for the use of these materials.
