Abstract
Održivost je nužna u svim aspektima čovjekova života. Danas se ne može razmišljati o inovacijama i projektima bez uključivanja održivosti. Održivost nije prisutna samo na lokalnoj razini, već i na regionalnoj, globalnoj. Sve preporuke o održivosti dolaze od Ujedinjenih naroda. U ovom radu su prikazan načini na koje građevinski sektor može pridonijeti većoj održivosti i smanjenju stvaranja ugljikovog dioksida, te njegov utjecaj na okoliš. Kako je veliko područje djelovanja građevinskog sektora, u radu se bazira na područje cestogradnje. Opisani novi materijali kao potencijalna zamjena tradicionalnim materijalima koji se koriste u cestogradnji, prirodni materijal kao zamjena tradicionalnih materijala i poboljšanje stabilizacije konstrukcije, te načini gospodarenja otpadom nastalim građenjem i proizvodnjom građevinskih materijala.
Abstract (english)
Sustainability is of upmost importance in all aspects of life. Today, we cannot talk about innovations and projects without including sustainability. It is not only present on local, but also on regional and global level. All recommendations about sustainability come from the United Nations. In this paper it is shown the way construction sector can add to further advancements in sustainability and reduction in CO2 creation. Considering the length of construction sector, this paper will focus on road construction. New materials that are described serve as a potential replacement to the traditional materials that are used in road construction, natural material that would serve as replacement to the traditional materials and it would serve as means of stabilization of the structure, as well as advance the ways in waste management caused by construction and production of construction materials.
