An apron is an important infrastructural element of any airport, an d its purpose is to place an aircraft so that it can be unloaded and loaded, refueled, parked, and maintained. Apron capacity significantly affects the operational characteristics of the entire airport. The aim of this thesis was to create a conceptual des ign of the apron. The paper is divided into two parts; the first part covers the theoretical presentation of an apron and In the task, there is a given number of arrivals of 3 types of aircraft in the peak hour, and a Boeing 767 300 was used as a reference aircraft. Based on the number of arrivals in the peak hour, the required number of parking positions was obtained; and the dimensions of the parking position for the reference aircraft were determined using the given 45 yoke deflection radius. The tracks for driving on an apron were also dimensioned, as well as its extensions according to the FAA ADG method. The service road used to service the aircraft is located in front of and between the parking positions. The planned entry of the aircraft into the position is on its own and at an angle of 90 and for the exit from the position it is planned to push it out with the help of a trac tor. Passenger boarding bridges are provided for the reception of passengers. I t was necessary to calculate an apron capacity with a restriction due to the size of parking positions, a combination of restrictions due to size, and exclusive use of positions and a combination of restrictions due to size, exclusive, and shared use of positions. The calculation determined that the exclusive use of positions reduces the apron capacity. This paper also contains graphic attachments created in the AutoCAD 2016 soft ware.
