Abstract
Diplomskim radom obrađena je tema optimalizacije kanalizacijskog sustava odabranog ruralnog područja. Za promatrano područje uzeta su četiri naselja unutar Općine Viljevo, kao klasični primjeri ruralnih naselja u Slavoniji. U sklopu rada analizirani su svi mjerodavni ulazni parametri potrebni za pravilno dimenzioniranje te određivanje optimalnog kanalizacijskog sustava. Ponuđeno je više varijantnih rješenja, odabranih prema karakteristikama obrađenih ulaznih podataka, kao što su broj stanovnika na promatranom području, karakteristika otpadne vode i dr. Ponuđenim varijantnim rješenjima u obzir je uzeta primjena centraliziranog, decentraliziranog, konvencionalnog i alternativnog kanalizacijskog sustava. Time se pokrilo široko područje često primijenjenih sustava kao i onih čija primjena u budućnosti može pronaći mjesto u rješavanju ovoga problema na području Hrvatske. Unutar rada naglašena je ekonomska analiza izgradnje sustava u vidu optimalizacije, preko koje se došlo da najekonomičnijih varijanti. Nadalje, najekonomičnije varijante obrađene su višekriterijskom analizom s tehničko-tehnološkog aspekta. Temeljem obrađenih analiza može se usvojiti optimalan kanalizacijski sustav kroz sve faze, počevši od izgradnje i trajnosti do održavanja i troškova rada sustava.

Parallel abstract (English)
The topic of this master thesis is the optimization of the sewer system of a chosen rural area. This area includes four settlements, typical for the region of Slavonia, located in the municipality of Viljevo. This thesis represents an analysis of all relevant input parameters necessary for defining and properly dimensioning an optimal sewer system. Thesis also contains several possible formalizations, based on the features of analyzed input parameters, such as the population and wastewater of the chosen area. These possible formalizations include the usage of centralized, decentralized, conventional and alternative sewer systems. Therefore, this analysis includes systems which are regularly in use, as well as those which can possibly be used in the future on the territories of the Republic of Croatia. Furthermore, thesis assesses the most economical way of construction of the systems. The most economical forms are assessed through technical and technological multi-criteria analysis. This thesis presents the most optimal sewer system through all phases, starting from the construction and durability, to maintenance and labor costs.
