Abstract
Utjecajem urbanizacije i industrijalizacije posljednjih godina količina otpadnoga stakla postupno se povećava. Većina otpadnoga stakla završava na odlagalištima, a budući da staklo nije biorazgradivo takav način zbrinjavanja stakla nije ekološki prihvatljiv. Loše upravljanje otpadom negativno utječe na ekološki sustav, zagađuje okoliš i utječe na klimatske promjene. Jedan od glavnih ciljeva održivoga razvoja jest povećati ponovnu upotrebu i recikliranje materijala. Recikliranje otpadnoga stakla kao održivoga građevinskog materijala dobiva sve veću pozornost u građevinskoj industriji. Ovaj rad predstavlja pregled utjecaja zamjene cementa i agregata recikliranim staklom na gustoću, obradivost, mehaničke karakteristike i svojstava trajnosti betona. Prikazuje da i boja stakla ovisi o njegovim svojstvima. Beton s dodatkom staklenoga praha pokazuje bolja svojstva od betona s dodatkom staklenoga agregata. Stakleni agregat može se iskoristiti kao sitni i krupni agregat u proizvodnji betona. Kombinacijom stakla različitih boja možemo dobiti estetski vrlo atraktivne proizvode.
Abstract (english)
Due to the impact of urbanization and industrialization in recent years, the amount of waste glass is gradually increasing. Most of waste glass ends up on landfills and this way of disposing is not environmentally acceptable because glass is not biodegradable. Bad waste management negatively affects the ecological system, pollutes the environment and affects climate change. One of the main goals of sustainable development is to incerase the reuse and recycle of materials. Recycling of waste glass as a sustainable building material is gaining more attention in the construction industry. This essay presents an overview of how the replacement of cement and aggregates with recycled glass impacts on concrete density, workability, durability and mechanical characteristics. It is also shown that the color of the glass depends on its properties. Concrete with glass powder shows better properties than concrete with glass aggregate. Glass aggregate can be used as small and coarse aggregate in concrete production. By combining different colors of glass, we can get aesthetically attractive products.
