The final paper addresses the issue of parking in urban areas, with a focus on the planning and organization of parking spaces. The paper examines stationary traffic, which includes stopping and parking vehicles, and its impact on traffic flow in urban zones. Emphasis is placed on the importance of selecting appropriate parking spots and organizing parking areas in various urban environments, such as commercial and business districts, sports facilities, and recreational zones. Special attention is given to the division of parking into on-street and off-street parking. On-street parking reduces road capacity and safety, while off-street parking allows for a greater number of parking spaces in open areas but requires careful design of entrances and exits to minimize negative impacts on traffic flow. The demand for parking, which increases with the growing number of vehicles in urban areas, is also studied. Particular attention is given to parking spaces for people with disabilities, family parking spaces, and parking areas designated for women, with detailed specifications on their dimensions and design requirements. Following the theoretical discussion of stationary parking, the practical part of the final paper presents a conceptual design for a parking lot for personal vehicles behind the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bilje, based on the existing on-site conditions and in accordance with current technical regulations for design.
