Abstract
Tema ovog završnog rada je geotehnički aspekt primjene geotekstila kod građevinskih zahvata. Završnim rad obuhvaća povijesni razvoj geosintetika kao i samih geotekstila. Geotekstil je opisan kao proizvod te su navedene njegove vrste, uloge i način proizvodnje kao i svojstva koja posjeduje sa ispitivanjima koja je potrebno provesti kako bi se utvrdila navedena svojstva. Najveća područja primjene geotekstila su prometnice (ceste i željeznice), hidrotehničke građevine i zaštita okoliša. Svako područje je opisano te su navedena svojstva geotekstila koja on mora imati kako bi vršio određenu funkciju u konstrukciji. Također je prikazan položaj geotekstila u samoj konstrukciji.
