The task of graduate thesis from the Wooden Construction II course was to calculate the roof construction of a sports hall on Zeleno Polje. When calculating the roof structure, the main and secondary elements are considered, as well as the elements for ensuring the spatial stability of the roof structure of the sports hall in Zeleno Polje. The floor plan dimensions of the hall are 34.20 x 46.40 m. The roof structure is constructed as a two-sided symmetrical roof with a sloping height of 11.07 m with sloped roof tiles at 4.5 °. The main beams are laminated glued beams constructed as double symmetrical trapezoid flat intradoses. The main beam dimensions are (110-243.4 / 16) cm x 2 and are located at a distance of 5.0 m. The main beam material is glued laminated GL28h wood. The static system is the simply supported beam. Purlins are secondary elements with 16/22 cm cross sections, located at a distance of 1.25 m. Purlins are made of full C24 wood. The static system of the secondary beams (purlins) is simply supported beam. Spatial stabilization of the roof is designed as a system of soft diagonals φ27 mm made of S235 steel. The static system is trust. The norms used for the calculation of the effects on the structure are HRN EN 1991-1-1 (continuous load from the roof, the own weight of the beam and the own weight of the substructure, additional load from solar panels, acoustic panels and installations) HRN EN 1991-1-3 (snow load) and HRN EN 1991-1-4 (wind load). The HRN EN 1995-1-1 norm was used for the calculation and dimensioning of the purlins, the main beams and the horizontal coupling elements. Internal forces, reactions, and deflections are calculated in the Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2011 program. At the end of the graduate thesis, material declaration for the main beams, purlins and horizontal couplings was made.
