Abstract
U radu su analizirana naprezanja kratkih štapova, opterećenih ekscentričnom tlačnom silom, pomoću jezgre poprečnog presjeka. Definiran je pojam jezgre presjeka, svrha i način njenog određivanja te način određivanja naprezanja u presjecima koji su opterećeni centričnom i ekscentričnom uzdužnom tlačnom silom. U zadanim primjerima jezgra poprečnog presjeka je određena grafički i analitički. Za zadane poprečne presjeke provedeni su proračuni naprezanja za tri različita položaja sile. Određen je položaj neutralne osi i prikazana raspodjela normalnih naprezanja u poprečnom presjeku.
