Abstract
U ovom radu govoriti će se o potpornim zidovima, njihovoj namjeni, silama koje na njega djeluju, oblikovanju i njihovom proračunu. Rad se sastoji od tekstualnog dijela u kojemu će biti govora općenito o potpornim zidovima i od zadatka čiji će proračun biti proveden kroz računalni program GEO 5. U prvom dijelu biti će govora općenito o potpornim zidovima, njihovoj podjeli, drenažama potpornih zidova, opterećenjima, te o dimenzioniranju. U drugom dijelu , na 2 odabrana presjeka (jedan visine veće od 2 metra, jedan visine do 2 metra), biti će prikazan proračun dvije vrste potpornih zidova (masivni betonski gravitacijski potporni zid i AB zid sa konzolom) te će se rezultati njihovih stabilnosti uspoređivati sa stvarnim projektnim rješenjem potpornog zida. Cilj rada je analizom, te kasnije usporedbom njihovih rezultata, utvrditi postoji li racionalnija vrsta potpornog zida s obzirom na ekonomičnost i kompliciranost izvođenja.
