The business zone Gacka is located in the southern part of the Osijek city, along Gacka Street and in the immediate vicinity of the southern bypass and street of kneza Trpimira. Subject lot, ie the building is located in the northwestern part of the scope bounded by Gacka street in the north, and in the west by the newly planned street. As the building is positioned on the edge of the scope it creates a barrier between the central public space of the scope and the future planned housing construction in the west. At the same time, the design of the building creates a transit between two different purposes, and this is achieved by a fluid ground floor. That is, the ground floor is semi-public in order to create better communication between future construction in the west and the central square of the scope. The office building stands out with its special design of two symmetrical-asymmetrical cores that protrude to the roof and in that way emphasize the vertical of the building and the communication within it. Thus, three zones of office and accompanying facilities are created inside the building, while the cores contain all utilitarian rooms. The building with its glass facade and galvanized steel pipes that serve as protection against the sun make an interesting composition in the design and creates a certain impression of privacy within the building, or permeability through the glass facade. One of the most important specifics of an office building is its construction. The specificity is in the side cantilevered parts of the building which are suspended by diagonal steel columns for A.B. cores with coupled mezzanine steel structure. This construction enabled large open spaces inside the building. The interior of the building stands out for the already mentioned composite steel structure, which was left visible, and there are specific internal suspended staircases on steel pipes. Thus the idea of a pipe from the interior is transferred to the design of the already mentioned envelope. The idea of the pipes comes from the theme, that is, the company that uses the building and that is the winery. Steel pipes associate and imitate pipes from wine cellars and plants, as well as bare concrete on the building’s cores. The aim was to transfer parts of the design of the wine cellars and wine production plant to the design of the office building itself.
