Abstract
Ukupna cestovna mreža je vrlo važan čimbenik za ekonomiju svake zemlje te zbog toga ceste se moraju redovito i racionalno održavati.U Republici Hrvatskoj gotovo cijela mreža cesta je izgrađena s asfaltnim kolničkim konstrukcijama.Pri sve većem i težem prometnom opterećenju, utjecaju okoliša te starenju cesta dolazi do umora materijala u kolničkoj konstrukciji što rezultira mnogim nepoželjnim pojavama odnosno oštećenjima kolničke konstrukcije.Kako bi se omogućio nesmetan i siguran promet na cestama tijekom cijele godine cestovna mreža se mora redovito održavati. Održavanje asfaltnih kolničkih konstrukcija u Hrvatskoj temeljilo se donedavno samo na izradu tzv. asfaltnih tepiha ili na izradu izravnavajućeg sloja. U radu su prikazani novi postupci odnosno nove tehnologije održavanja cesta, kao što su recikliranje asfaltnih slojeva te primjena geomreža. Također, prikazan je osvrt na njihovu primjenu u Republici Hrvatskoj.
